Capital Projects Progressing in Garden City Schools
With the two elementary schools nearly complete, and work beginning at the secondary level, Construction Manager Joe Guidice, from Kreisler Borg Florman (KBF) addressed the board of education and other interested residents at the last school board meeting, to provide an update on the progress of the district's projects.

Village Engages Consultant to Study Possible St. Paul's Uses
In an effort to restore the historic St. Paul's building, the Garden City Village Board approved an architectural engineering firm, recommended by the Mayor's Committee on St. Paul's, to serve as consultants and make recommendations for municipal uses for the 48 acre property.

GCAA News and Events
The fall program provides children ages 9 to 16 with a chance to play baseball during the months of September and October. Leagues are separated into four age groups: 9/10-year-olds, 11/12-year-olds, 13/14-year-olds and 15/16-year-olds (age again is of 7/31/01). Usually two games are scheduled each weekend between Garden City and other teams from nearby towns. Deadline for open registration is Aug. 1. Applications are available at the GC Recreation Office, St. Paul's or you may print one from our website at www.gc-aa.com/baseballapplications.htm.

Recreation Department News
The recreation department is pleased to again offer "Pee Wee" tennis lessons to Garden City residents. This program is designed to introduce children ages 4-8 to the game of tennis. Classes run for 45 minutes Monday through Friday. Class size is limited to eight children per class. Classes will be held at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m. according to the following schedule:
