The Recreation Department offers several camps during the summer months, including camps in baseball, basketball, lacrosse and soccer. These "sport camps" are designed for youngsters ages 6 and up, as detailed in each camp's registration information.
The department also offers a "Preschool Activities Camp" at Cluett Hall. This camp is an extension of our popular Preschool Arts and Crafts program, which is held during the school year, and is designed for youngsters 3 1/2 to 5 years of age. There are no sports camps for children in this age group offered by our department. The Recreation Department apologizes for any confusion that might have resulted from prior news releases, which listed the Preschool Camp in with the older age sports camps.
The recreation department will offer a preschool camp for village children who are 3.5 to 5 years old by July 20, 2001. The 1 1/2 hour camp will include arts and crafts, science, nature, storytelling, and other activities to keep the preschool child busy and happy.
