Village Enters Into Negotiations for Two Pieces of Property
With Mayor Harold Hecken stressing that the decision to enter into negotiations for 116 Eleventh Street and the easterly 100 feet of the 114 Sixth Street property did not mean that the village would ultimately purchase these pieces of property, the Garden City Board of Trustees voted 5-3 in favor of both these items which were on Thursday night's agenda.

Over 100 residents were gathered at the Feb. 26 Garden City of Education meeting as 27 G.C.H.S. Lacrosse players urged the board of education to name William "Doc" Dougherty as their coach for the upcoming spring season.

Centennial Soccer News
The Garden City Centennial intramural soccer season is slated to start Saturday, March 31. Open registration for the Centennials has ended. Applications may still be submitted but require a $25 late fee in addition to the registration fee. Applications will be accepted on a space available basis.

Bring a smile to your preschooler's face as they complete their own craft project each week during this six-week program, which will be conducted by Grace Chianese. This program will be held in Cluett Hall on the former St. Paul's campus. There will be three 45 minute classes offered each week: Mondays at 10:45 a.m., Wednesdays at 12:45 p.m. and Thursdays at 10:45 a.m.
