Public Parking Forum Draws Crowd
The public forum to discuss the village planning commission's parking study drew a large crowd, with 37 people speaking either in favor of completing the Park Buffer Strip Plan of 1959 or vehemently opposed to turning residential property into public parking.
Village to Hold Public Hearing Regarding Changes in Local Code
The Village of Garden City will be holding a public hearing on Thursday, March 1 at 8 p.m. about a proposed local law amending the village code.

Jack White Receives NYS Distinguished Service Award
Jack "Jake" White, high school social studies teacher and sports statistician, has been honored by the New York State Athletic Administrators Association with a Distinguished Service Award. In addition, the Council of Administrators of Chapter 8 (Nassau County) has also recognized him with the Distinguished Service Award. This award is presented to a person, not an athletic administrator, who has made a significant contribution over the years to Athletics.
