Although the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is upon us, it is not too early to start thinking about registration for boys' and girls' spring soccer. The Garden City Centennials offer intramural soccer for girls in grades Pre-K through 12th grade and for boys in grades Pre-K through sixth grade.

NOGA instructs the players and coaches in the younger age groups. The younger children benefit from small-sided games on smaller fields. The older children play one or two games on the weekends and generally have a practice with their coach once during the week. Traditionally, girls' games are held in the morning hours on Saturday and boys' games are held on Saturday afternoons in order to conflict as little as possible with Little League. Any soccer games scheduled for Sundays will be held in the afternoons.

If your child is entering kindergarten this coming fall, they are eligible to play soccer this spring. The Centennial application can be picked up at either Cluett Hall or the main recreation office and should be mailed to the address on the form. Do not wait until the last minute to register your child for the upcoming season, do it now!

Any question about our program can be answered by calling Randy Colahan at 248-7483 for the girl's program and Sandy Young at 739-1305 for the boys' program.
