Garden City School Board President Linda Leone announced at the October meeting of the P.O.A. of G. C. Estates that she would not seek re-election to the School Board in May 2001. The Directors of the P.O.A. of G. C. Estates wish to thank Trustee Linda Leone for her exemplary service on behalf of our children and community. Linda was first elected to the G.C. School Board in 1994 and became its president in 1999. With her leadership and tireless efforts, the School Reconstruction Bond was approved by the voters and our schools are receiving long needed repairs and improvements.

We are saddened to lose such a capable and dedicated individual and we wish her the best in all her future endeavors.
