In a hotly contested battle for control of the Town of Hempstead, Republicans won five out of the six newly created councilmanic district seats. The Recreation Department is conducting a supervised trip to see the Disney on Ice show "Disney's Jungle Adventures" at Nassau Coliseum on Saturday, Nov. 18. This trip will be to the 11 a.m. show. Tickets are priced at $25, and are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Supervision by the recreation department staff and bus transportation to and from the show are also included. FULL STORY
