There is one thing that Robert, Lauren and John Adamo indeed have in common. They are each the recipient of the gold medal in Varsity Lacrosse at the New York State Championships.

Lauren is a senior at Garden City High School and a starting attack wing. On Saturday, June 10, at SUNY Cortland, Lauren and the other members of the Girls Varsity Lacrosse team won the New York State Championship in Division II.

John is a freshman at Garden City High School. Likewise, on June 10, at Hofstra University in Uniondale, he and his teammates on the Boys Varsity Lacrosse team were victorious and won the Class B New York State Championship.

Robert has just completed his junior year at Williams College where he is a student in the honors program. A 1997 graduate of Garden City High School, Robert was a starting attackman on the Boys Varsity Lacrosse team which won the Class B New York State Championship on June 7, 1997, at Coyne Stadium at Syracuse University. He was the recipient of the Silvestri Award for being the leader in assists. Robert has been a starting attackman for the past three years at Williams College where he is the quarterback of the team and again the leader in assists. On May 14, Robert and the Men's Lacrosse team made history at the college when they won the second of back-to-back ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) championships (May, 1999 and May, 2000). This was the first time in the history of men's lacrosse at Williams that this has been achieved.
