An impromptu parade and picnic was held on Sunday to mark the incredible achievement of three Garden City High School teams winning the State Championships on Saturday. The boy's baseball team won their first state championship title in Utica, the girls lacrosse team won their fourth state title in five years and this was the fourth state title since 1986 for the boys lacrosse team. Although they were only one of three Garden City High School teams this season to win the New York State Championship title, the GCHS baseball team's win was all the sweeter because by winning that title, they accomplished what no other team in the history of Garden City baseball has. FULL STORY

The Recreation Department will again offer a Pre-School Activities Camp for boys and girls 3 1/2 years to five years of age who are residents of the Inc. Village of Garden City. This camp will be held at the Cultural and Performing Arts Center at Cluett Hall at St. Paul's.
