Mary Thompson (nee O'Mara), 92, formerly of Garden City, died on April 15, 2000. She was a founding member of the Over 50 Club and was an active member of the Central Property Owners' Association. She was a Eucharistic minister, taught religious instruction and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society at St. Joseph's RC Church. A pianist, she performed at the A. Holly Patterson Geriatric Center. Mother of Mary Jo Crowley (Francis) and Patricia Rossetto (James). Mother-in-law of Barbara. Sister of Josephine Wilson. Grandmother of 13. Great-grandmother of 21. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur F. Jr., and her son, Arthur F. Thompson III. Memorial Mass at St. Joseph's RC Church. Courtney G. Fleming, of Garden City, died on April 20, 2000. A graduate of Villanova University, he was a Garden City volunteer fireman and a member of the St. Joseph's Church Ushers Society. He was also a Democratic State Committeeman. Husband of Joan. Father of Courtney G. Jr., Mark J., Sheila M. and Brian J. Grandfather of three.
