School Officials Ease Reassessment Jitters
In the wake of Tuesday's vote by the Nassau Legislature to proceed with county-wide reassessment, it was natural that questions about the impact on school district residents would be raised at the March 27 meeting of the Garden City Board of Education. In response, school district officials reviewed Garden City's unique taxing structure and explained that reassessment will have less impact on this area than on many others.

Recreation Department News
With the Spring Sports season fast approaching, the recreation department would like to remind all residents that preference is given to the various organized Village Youth Organizations (GCAA, Centennials, Rams, etc.) for their intramural and travel league programs. When the fields are not in use by these youth organizations, the recreation department, or a group holding a valid field permit, these fields are available for use by village residents.
