Charles F. Schreiner, 88, of Garden City South, diedon March 9, 2000. Husband of Leona. Father of Charles and Joseph. Grandfather of four. Memorial Mass at St. Catherine of Sienna RC Church.
Robert E. Myron, of Garden City, died on March 11, 2000. He was a US Air Corps veteran. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in fine arts from NYU and his doctorate from Ohio State University where he received a fellowship. He worked at St. Joseph's College and St. John's University.
Mr. Myron began teaching at Hofstra University in 1953. He became chairman of the Art History and Humanities Dept. retiring in 1998. He wrote several art history books on pre-Columbian and Mayan cultures. He gave free art and antique appraisal clinics and lectured at art shows, libraries and museums. He also appeared on television discussing art history. He was a member of the board of directors of the Appraisers Association of America and a senior member of the American Society of Appraisers.
Mr. Myron is survived by his wife Marie Rose; is children, Jacques Myron and Daniel Myron; and his brother Saul Myron. Arrangements were made by the Krauss Funeral Home, Franklin Square. John J. Blundell, of Garden City, died on March 11, 2000. Husband of Janet (nee Sherman). Father of Diana Ankner, John A. Blundell and Pat Boneli. Grandfather of eight. Brother of Charles Blundell. Arrangements were made by the Fairchild Chapel, Garden City. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.
