Thank you to everyone who donated food, money or time to make J.B.'s Pub's Thanksgiving feast such a success. Through your gifts, 176 homebound senior citizens and needy families were able to receive a full Thanksgiving dinner, complete with dessert, beverages and homemade bread, delivered to their door on Thanksgiving afternoon!

So many contributed to the success of this event, it is impossible to list everyone here. They include the 80+ people who delivered meals; the students in the classes of Carol Millot, Chris Becconsall, Janice Canzoneri, Tara Kiamos, Jennifer Rumbelow and Linda Olsen who made the beautiful cards, letters and placemats included with each meal; the customers and friends who contributed food and money; the teachers and staff of Hemlock School who took a collection and made generous donations; the parishioners of St. Joseph's and Corpus Christi who contributed and offered help; the Mineola Kiwanis Club who gave us a sizeable contribution; the wonderful staff of Meals on Wheels whose commitment to their clients is overwhelming; and Judy Shank who personally made bread for 200 the list goes on and on, numbering well over 30 contributors!

Each one of you helped in some way to make Thanksgiving special for those who received these meals. We could never have done it without you!

We will be coordinating a similar effort on Christmas day. Please call J.B.'s at 248-2830 if you would like to make a donation toward our meal or if you are able to deliver a meal or two on Christmas afternoon.

Thank you for letting us be part of a very special tradition.

Melinda and John Alford
