There are many things happening in the Village, especially as they affect your WPOA. The association has conducted a search for an interim school board trustee to fill the remaining term of the late James Ryan. A nominating committee elected to screen applicants interviewed Jeff Minett for the position. They reported that Minett has excellent credentials, experience and a genuine desire to serve. His application will now be presented to the school board for their consideration.

The WPOA has mailed 75 letters with petitions to religious groups, civic organizations and social clubs in this Village and surrounding communities. We are asking them to join our efforts to keep arriving aircraft at JFK International Airport at safe altitudes and under the control of FAA traffic controllers. These petitions will be sent to the House and Senate Aviation committees.
