Local legislators recently joined with members of the Garden City South Little League at opening day ceremonies at the Cherry Valley Field in Garden City. Pictured, from left, are Nassau County Court Judge Joseph Callabrese, Town of Hempstead Commission of Parks Nick Famiglietti, Nassau County Legislator Vincent Muscarella, Garden City South Little League President Phil Pursino, Town of Hempstead Supervisor Richard Guardino, New York State Assemblyman Thomas Alfano, Nassau County Council Member Joseph Ra and New York State Senator Kemp Hannon. The festivities also included and Old Timer's Day game, in celebration of the league's 45th anniversary.
