  • NEWS: McDonald's Station Makes Its Appeal Before Zoning Board

    Attorney Kevin Walsh of Spellman & Walsh, LLP, a firm with offices on Seventh Street in Garden City, spoke on behalf of McDonald's Service Station, Inc., located at Main Street and Meadow Place within the Village, which is currently applying for a special permit to allow the sale of convenience items, at the March 23 hearing on the matter before the Village Board of Zoning Appeals. Also at the hearing, several residents expressed their views on the issue and letters from the EPOA, New York State Senator Kemp Hannon, writing as a resident of the Village, rather than a public official, and landscape architect William B. Kuhl, FASLA with an accompanying memo from Steven Dubner Landscaping, Inc. were presented and entered into evidence. FULL STORY

    On March 24 the Town of Hempstead Zoning Board of Appeals released its Notice of Decision in Case Number 1060 of The Retail Property Trust of Indianapolis, Indiana's request for a special permit to expand the Roosevelt Field Mall. The Board announced in its written statement, "The Board, at the conclusion of the hearing of March 3, 1999 requested that respective counsel submit proposed Findings of Fact, which were received on March 17, 1999.
