Master Plan Task Force Disbands, Forming Two New Groups
Scott Howell of the Nassau Planning Commission, who according to Neal Lewis of the Nassau Master Plan Task Force attended every meeting of the Task Force, addressed the members of the Task Force at their Jan. 28 meeting in the Hofstra University Club to update them on the status of the passed Comprehensive Master Plan before the Task Force disbanded at the end of the evening.

School Superintendent Search Consultant Addresses a Mostly Empty Room
Sometimes things are built or organized, but "they" still don't come. Last Thursday night, Dr. Robert Heller, the consultant engaged by the Garden City Board of Education to help them in their search for a new superintendent of schools, spoke at an important public meeting in the library of the high school.

Bowl for Big Brothers Big Sisters With New York Islanders
On Sunday, Feb. 28, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island will be hosting its annual Bowl for Kids Sake Celebrity Day bowlathon featuring the New York Islanders at the AMF Sheridan Bowl in Mineola from noon to 4 p.m. This year's bowlathon will prove to be especially exciting and meaningful for the agency. As part of the day's festivities, a special presentation will be made to honor The New York Islanders for their strong support and long-standing commitment to Big Brothers Big Sisters over the past 20 years.
