Leading the way for the men of the Siena College's Saints Soccer Team, was senior Co-Captain Eric Lind of Garden City, who was named the 1998 MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year. Lind posted a league-best goals against average of .93. In 17 games this year for the Saints, Lind gave up just 16 goals, while making 110 saves and recording seven shutouts.

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference named five Siena players, including Lind, to their All-MAAC teams. Siena's men's team finished the season 11-6-1 and had two all conference selections.
