Charles Water's Hwang Karate Studio (located in Williston Park) recently held a fund raiser to help "Kick Drugs Out of America." This was part of a series of events for 1998. All proceeds from these events are donated to Chuck Norris' anti-drug program "Kick Drugs Out of America," and to the local Drug Awareness Program.

A Break-a-Thon was recently held by students of the school to help raise funds.

The local Drug Awareness Program educates children about drugs through community events. Chuck Norris started the "Kick Drugs Out of America" program several years ago to educate and provide underprivileged youth with Martial Arts training with the goal of keeping potentially troubled youths out of gangs and away from drugs.

The martial arts can successfully combat the drugs and gangs that are endangering the lives of our nation's youth when it is taught with the philosophy that instills increased self-esteem, goal setting and a true feeling of self-worth. The courage to say "No" comes from within.
