The Garden City United Boys U11 Green Division recently celebrated its first place victory in the Annual American Ref-Fuel East Meadow Soccer Tournament, which drew some 400 teams from as far away as Connecticut and upstate New York. More than 6,000 boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 18 participated this year, the largest number the tournament has ever attracted. During the three day event, the teams were cheered on by 35,000 spectators.
