Louise M. Furlong (nee Grace), of Garden City, died on June 21, 1998. She was the executive secretary to the vice president of operations at A & S. Wife of the late John L. Sister of the late William R. Grace Jr. Sister-in-law of Marie Grace, Alice Furlong, Mary Ann Dwyer, Padric Furlong, Daniel Furlong and Christopher Furlong. Aunt of 34 nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the Fairchild Chapel, Garden City. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's RC Church. Interment St. John's Cemetery. Donations can be made to Hospice Care Network, 900 Merchants Concourse, Westbury, NY 11590. Helen C. Sudholz, of Garden City, died on June 23, 1998. Wife of the late Louis. Mother of Louis H. Sudholz Jr. Grandmother of Wendy L., Susan L. Larkin, Debbie A. Del Latto and Louis H. Sudholz III. Great-grandmother of five. Arrangements were made by the Fairchild Chapel, Garden City. Funeral service. Thomas A. Robinson, of Garden City, died on June 24, 1998. Husband of Camille. Father of Karen Ferguson, Dr.Thomas A. Robinson, Janice Smith and Camille Pierce. Grandfather of four. Arrangements were made by the Fairchild Chapel, Garden City. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne's RC Church. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Anna Ruth Ediger Baehr, 82, of Garden City formerly of New Hyde Park, died on June 24, 1998. She was the daughter of a Menonite missionary to the Cheyenne and grew up among them in Oklahoma. Mrs. Baehr studied literature at Bethel College where she met her future husband, Carl, also a Menonite minister. She was an elementary school teacher in the Herricks School District. She earned her master's degree in education from Hofstra University. She retired in 1978 and began writing poetry. She was a member of The Gathering discussion group. Mrs. Baehr is survived by her children, Rev. Joel Baehr and Dr. Beth Alice Baehr Bullard; her siblings, Hilda Voth and Tony, Gus, Otto and Don Ediger; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Garden City Community Church. Donations can be made to the Anna Ruth Ediger Baehr Scholarship for Southern Cheyenne Students,c/o the Native American Scholarship Fund, Inc., 8200 Mountain Rd.
