A new and fun way to spend a Saturday evening has arrived, an evening at the karate studio. At Charles Water's Hwang Karate Studio, the evening began at 6 p.m. and was officially over at 11 p.m., but everyone stayed for a late night snack.

Charles Water teaches the martial arts to both children and adults, but this evening was for adults only. Master Water taught his students special grappling techniques and breathing exercises for stress reduction in addition to a full evening of martial arts.

Adults from all over the area came out for an evening of fun including Hector DeMarchena of Garden City who was joined by his friends Steven and Joanne Orshan of East Hills, Iris Flaum of New Hyde Park, Bernie Stief of Roslyn Heights, Mark Iuvara and Sean Thompson of Mineola, Kena Spitaleri of Floral Park, Master Charles Water of Port Washington, Michael Kennedy of Westbury, Harro Penk and Nirav Thakkar of Stony Brook, and Carol Buzzeo, Michael Buzzeo, Victor Costa, James Hackford, Gina Quintano, and Matthew Schmucker of Williston Park.
