"What a difference a day makes!" Although torrential rains caused a cancellation of the first festival date, the second choice turned out to be a perfect day. Seventh Street was filled with families, friends and neighbors coming together to share in a special celebration of the "Spirit of Garden City."

A great big thank you to Elliott (Things & Stuff) and Mary (Culinary Heights) and everybody else who contributed to making this wonderful day possible.

I strolled through town with my friend meeting and greeting old friends, observing young families being joined by dads getting off the train from work to join them for dinner at one of the local establishments.

Thanks to the Central Business Alliance for creating this spirit. Let us hope that this spirit continues.
