  • NEWS: Architect Has Already Begun Work at GCMS

    The architect recommended by the Citizens Advisory Committee, (also known as the Ad Hoc Committee, formed by the School Board to bring citizens with expertise in construction, architecture, law, and engineering, as well as those residents who were concerned about the program needs in the district, to develop a new bond issue for this fall) who was put forward as their choice for hire by the School Board at the June 2 meeting of the School Board has already begun the repairs of the Garden City Middle School roof over the gymnasium.   • NEWS: Hannon Defines His Role in St. Paul's Issue

    After the special meeting of the Board of Trustees with the four Property Owners' Associations held on May 20, residents of Garden City have been questioning what State Senator Kemp Hannon, also a resident of Garden City, will have to say on the subject of legislation to authorize the 65-year lease of the property between the Village and CareMatrix. The mayor and Village counsel endeavored to publicly explain at this special meeting, in subsequent public discussions both during and after Board of Trustees' meetings as well as with the members and officers of the POAs their position on the subject.     Registration for the Summer Sports Camps has been under way since mid-May. At the present time, the following camps still have some limited openings available: Baseball Camp, Basketball Camp, Girls' Lacrosse Camp, Boys' Lacrosse Camo, Soccer Camp, Pre-School Arts and Crafts, Pre-School Stay and Play, and Recreation Activities Camp.
