Membership Applications for the 1998 Season at the Garden City Pool have been mailed to all Village residents. The Pool will open for its 42nd season at noon on Saturday, June 13. Application packages include the membership application, swim lesson information, and a brochure which details all of the activities and events which have been planned for this season.
Anyone who has not yet received an application may call the Recreation Office at 742-5800 for a duplicate application, which may either be picked up at our Office, or we will be happy to mail it to your home.
Again this year swim lesson registration is being done at the same time as memberships are being processed, and on a first come, first enrolled basis. Residents who are interested in signing up for swim lessons should fill in the registration form which is enclosed with your membership package, and return it with your completed pool application. Lessons are very popular, and tend to fill up quickly, so early return of your membership application is your best chance to receive the lessons of your choice. Registrants will receive confirmation of their lessons with their completed pool cards.
Completed pool cards will not be mailed back to you, but will be sent directly to the pool photo and lamination center, where they may be picked up by an adult member of the family.
As in the past several years, a valid photo identification will be required of all members 18 years of age and older at the time cards are picked up. Residents who do not present such a valid photo identification will not receive their completed pool cards until such time as this identification is presented.
Please pay particular attention to the "head of household" statement on your pool application, and take a few moments to review the pool rules with your family before you return your application.
For further pool information, please call the Recreation Office at 742-5800.
