Since the incorporation of the Village in 1919, members of the Board of Trustees in Garden City have been elected by a non-partisan vote of residents in accordance with the policies of the Community Agreement.

Your appearance at the polls will reflect more than support for the individual candidate --it will be an indication of confidence in the kind of volunteer government which distinguishes Garden City.

Those people registered to vote in the state and national elections are eligible to vote in the General Village Election. Those who are not registered with the County Board of Elections may do so either in person (400 County Seat Drive, Mineola) or by mail prior to March 6. Forms are available at the Board of Elections and Village Hall.
