(Editor's Note: The following was sent to the mayor and is printed with permission):

At the Jan. 26 meeting of the Western Property Owners Association, the directors unanimously agreed upon the following resolution and endorsed my sending a copy of it to you and the Board of Trustees.

"The Western Property Owners Association endorses the recreation committee's proposal to allocate the stipulated funds in the proposed budget for construction of roller hockey facilities at Community Park."

This association strongly believes that the value to the community, which will be accrued through the expenditure of the modest sums recommended for the construction of the facilities, is possibly the best bargain in this year's budget. As you are aware, interest in a roller hockey rink has been high for at least the past two years. Despite this, funds for construction have been removed for use in other projects. We feel that the children have waited long enough.

Your serious consideration and concurrence in this request will be greatly appreciated by all.
