St. Anne's Social Action Committee would like to express its appreciation to all those who participated in the Adopt a Family for Christmas Program.

Sixty families from Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish were adopted by members of our community. The OLMM families received Christmas dinners and gifts for each family.

In addition, $9,285 was donated. These funds will be shared by OLMM Parish in Wyandanch and St. Anne's Parish in Brentwood.

We will never know the happiness that we bring to those in need. One family from our community bought a Queen-sized mattress and had it delivered to a needy family in OLMM. The recipient cried tears of joy. She had never had a new bed in her life.

May all who joined us in making this program a huge success be blest in a special way in 1998!
