Walter G. Donnelly

Walter G. Donnelly, 87, of Salisbury, CT formerly of Garden City, died on Nov. 5, 1997. He practiced medicine mostly in New Hyde Park for more than 45 years. Dr. Donnelly was born in Brooklyn on March 16, 1910, the son of the late William F. Donnelly and Elizabeth Lillian Keegan. He graduated from Brooklyn Preparatory School, Fordham University and the LI College of Medicine. He served in the US Army (1942-1946) as a captain.

Dr. Donnelly was predeceased by his brother William. His wife Kathleen Mary Donnelly died on July 16, 1997. He is survived by his children Dr. Walter G. Donnelly Jr. and Eileen A. Samor; grandchildren Heidi, Christa, Julie, Jennifer, Kathleen and Eileen. Arrangements were made by the Gaiello-Luchansky & Samorajczyk Funeral Home, Stratford. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church. Interment Mt. Grove Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Hewitt Memorial Hospital, 45 Maltby St., Shelton, CT 06484.
