Cubist Visionary Retrospective, an exhibtion of the modern American geometric painter Kenneth Stubbs, whose particular vision focused on the analysis and composition of the figure and landscape and the translation of the flat patterns and abstract shapes found in nature. His goal in painting was to present an element of movement into cubism without compromising its principles. Jewish Heritage: A Persian Collection, an exploration into the tradition of Judaica as reflected in the Persian wood carving of the 20th century. Epilepsy Support Group
The Epilepsy Foundation of LI announces the formation of a new support group for adults with epilepsy and their significant others. The group will take place on Tuesday evenings from 8 to 9 p.m. at the foundation headquarters, 550 Stewart Ave., 3rd floor. Come meet others who share your concerns. Volunteers Needed by the Epilepsy Foundation
Volunteers are needed to help dispel some of the myths and misconceptions that still surround epilepsy by performing a puppet show in area elementary schools. The "Kids on the Block," a troupe of life-size abled and disabled puppets are used. If you have two hours a week for four weeks and can commit to one performance a month, you will be trained in the art of Bunraku or Japanese Puppetry. A Dream Play
