I have lived in Roslyn for 29 years. I have been very impressed with the fresh ideas Adam Haber has brought to our School Board. He pushed us to refinance our debt, consolidate our bus routes, and renegotiate our broadcast rights with Cablevision. These ideas were all unique to Roslyn, and they started with Adam Haber. I voted to put him on the Board of Education five years ago because he promised he would find new ways to save money, and he delivered. We haven’t cut teachers, we’ve preserved and added programs, and our district has boasted the lowest budgetary increases in Nassau each year he’s been on our Board.
I’ve had some personal contact with Adam Haber, and I’ve found him to be a sincere, caring family man with lots of integrity. He showed real leadership after SuperStorm Sandy, creating food and clothing drives, and personally delivering supplies to the South Shore. Adam is an experienced “second responder” who worked with All Hands Volunteers on disaster response missions in Mississippi (after Hurricane Katrina) and in Haiti (after the big earthquake). That’s why Adam knew to bring them to Long Island after Sandy, where they established projects in Long Beach and Staten Island, restoring more than 200 homes.
Adam Haber has proven his leadership skills, and I am confident he can bring the change we need in the 7th Senatorial District. His fresh ideas to save money and respond to crises are desperately needed.
Please join me on Nov. 4 in voting for Adam Haber, Democrat for New York State Senate, District 7.
