During the early morning hours of Sunday, March 9, gusting winds leveled a long-standing backyard tree that ran along the edge of a foundation excavation site. The Adams Street landholder (whose plot is between 9 Adams Street and 25 Adams Street) planned to split the land and build two houses while maintaining the tree. Unfortunately, the massive tree collapsed across the edge of the excavation plot and on top of the landowner's shed and an Earl Street resident's car. Excavation and construction will be discontinued until the massive tree is removed and damages to nearby property repaired.
