Marian Jean Corbett, longtime resident of Bellerose, died on Dec. 6, 2006. Wife of the late James M. Mother of James Mark and Steven W. Mother-in-law of Karen and Mary. Grandmother of Matthew, Brian, Meghan, Christopher, KerriAnne and Ellen. The family was cared for by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Floral Park. Religious service by Pastor Albert Martin. Christopher "Chris" Simmons, 27, of North Carolina, died on Dec. 11, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Queens, the son of Priscilla Larcher Simmons and the late Jerome Simmons Sr. He was a research analyst with the Veterans Administration, a member of the Raleigh Vineyard Church and a 2001 graduate of Yale University.

Mr. Simmons is survived by his mother Priscilla of Rolesville; brother Jerome Simmons Jr. of Chicago, IL; sister Sitherine Simmons of Rolesville; grandfather Staniel Larcher of Rolesville; aunts, Eileen Gardner and Doreen Grandison, both of Florida; uncles, Wilbert Larcher of Georgia, Peter Larcher of Virginia, Glendon Larcher of New York, Bernard Larcher of Durham; great-aunt Shirley Beasley of Long Island; cousin Denise Larcher of Florida; godmother Julie Clarke of Raleigh; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
