Stewart Manor School Earns National Distinction
Stewart Manor School, selected by the US Department of Education, recently achieved national distinction as a "No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School For 2006." The students, faculty, administrators and community have dedicated their time and energy to be chosen for this honor. Legislator Vincent Muscarella presented a citation to board of education members Aubrey Phillips, Frank Ragona, Pamela Monteverde and Robert Nori (board of education president), Principal Hope Kranidis, Superintendent Albert Harper and Pamela Byer, also a board of education member.

Chris Elliott Appears on Davidson & Co. Show
Chris Elliott, comedian, actor and author, recently visited Four Village Studio for a taping of Davidson & Co. Elliott, who has appeared in such movies as There's Something About Mary, Groundhog's Day and Cabin Boy, as well as numerous television programs including his own show, Get A Life, was in town to discuss his career and novel, The Shroud of the Thwacker. The program, hosted by Larry Davidson, is scheduled to air Monday, Dec. 18, and Thursday, Dec. 21, at 8:30 p.m. on Cablevision's Channel 18 in the four village area.
