Once again, the John Lewis Childs School PTA and dozens of volunteers worked hard to plan and coordinate all of the activities for the Annual Harvest Fair held Saturday, Oct. 14. This year marked our 20th anniversary!

To commemorate this milestone, the PTA donated a new bench for the playground. On hand to celebrate with the current PTA board were many past presidents, David T. Fowler, president of the board of education, Dr. Lynn Pombonyo, superintendent, Pamela Fine, principal, and Margaret McGlynn, assistant principal.

The weather cooperated fully and the turnout was tremendous. On behalf of the JLCS PTA, we would like to extend our gratitude to all of the students, their families and friends, residents of Floral Park and surrounding communities for turning out in force to enjoy the games, rides, crafts and refreshments. Everyone had a wonderful time!

We would like to thank the administration and staff of John Lewis Childs School and Floral Park-Bellerose School District for their support, as well as the Village of Floral Park. We would also like to thank the many businesses that graciously agreed to publicize our event by hanging posters in their windows.
