Carolyn (Funke) Ward, of Oceanside, formerly of Floral Park, died on Sept. 18, 2005. Daughter of the late Frederick and Emma Funke of Floral Park. Wife of the late Charles "Bud" Ward. Mother of Susan Arkins (James), Daniel and Casey (Patricia). Grandmother of James and Nicholas Arkins and Charles and Victoria Ward. Sister of Faith Sikaras, Frederick Funke, Jr. and the late Betty Wilson. She was a retired supervisor of New York Telephone in Hempstead. She was an alumna of St. Lawrence University and the Kappa Delta Sorority. Carol was a devoted member and Senior Warden of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Oceanside. Cremation services were private and entrusted to Towers Funeral Home, Oceanside.
