Fashion Show at Sewanhaka Raises Thousands for Ronald McDonald House
More than 100 students at Sewanhaka High School participated in a fashion show recently that raised a whopping $2,000 for the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. Students and teachers modeled designer clothing and shoe lines from well-known manufacturers such as Rothco, Puma, Sean John, Mandee's, Estelle's Dressy Dresses, DiRe's Tuxedos, Timberland, Kenneth Cole and Adidas.

Suozzi Signs MOU for Nassau Centre Proposal
Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with developer Scott Rechler of Reckson and New York Islanders owner Charles Wang, moving the $1.6 billion 'Nassau Centre' proposal forward and paving the way for a lease with the Lighthouse Development Group, LLC concerning redevelopment of the 77-acre Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum site.
