Theresa M. Pekar, 69, of Brooklyn and Floral Park, passed peacefully on June 2, 2006. She retired in October 2005 after 25 years of loyal service to the federal government, most recently secretary to the US Magistrate Judge Matsumoto. She was predeceased by George, her husband of 40 years. Mother of Joseph Commorato (Anna Maria) of Port St. Lucie, FL, George P. Pekar (MaryAnne) of Farmingville and Mary M. Hamilton (Richard) of Floral Park. Grandmother of Joseph, John, Georgie and Gregory. The family was cared for by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, New Hyde Park. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Victory RC Church. Interment St. John's Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Theresa's name.
