The Village of Floral Park will come alive on the eve of the Belmont Stakes, Friday, June 9, with its own festival featuring live music, dance performances and a bevy of culinary selections.

Horse racing fans, merchants, community organizations and village residents will gather along Floral Park's Tulip Avenue, between Verbena and Plainfield, starting at 5 p.m.

The Belmont Festival at Floral Park will feature dance presentations by local instructors and performers from J-J's Dance Studio and Center Stage Performing Arts Studio on Jericho Turnpike. Musical offerings include local favorites David Ball, The Generators, plus an All Occasion DJ.

In addition, there will be various raffles and prizes as well as appearances by the Town of Hempstead's Showmobile and the Smoke House Fire Safety Trailer, the latter courtesy of the Floral Park Volunteer Fire Department.
