Mary Ann Kick, of Floral Park, died peacefully and with great dignity on Dec. 8, 2005. Born in Brooklyn on Feb. 7, 1942 to George Martin Kick and Margaret Mary Heron. She was predeceased by her parents and is survived by her two aunts, Ann Brogan and Ann Heron, 14 cousins and their spouses, 15 nieces and nephews and 21 great-nieces and nephews as well as many, many good and faithful friends. So good and faithfully, that many spent a constant vigil at her side during her ordeal.
She attended St. Catherine's Hospital School of Nursing earning her degree in 1962. She joined Mercy Hospital where she worked for 33 years before retiring in 2002. She labored tirelessly for those sick or injured to alleviate their pain and provide them with the dignity they deserved. Mary Ann was an instrumental part of the Church of St. Anne's Nursing Ministry and worked diligently for the people of St. Anne's.
