McCarthy Hosts Seminar for First-Time Home Buyers

More than 50 Nassau County residents attended Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy's seminar for first-time homebuyers held at the Freeport Recreation Center. Attendees were given advice on saving for a mortgage, on how to apply for a guaranteed mortgage from the federal government and about housing assistance offered by Nassau County and the Long Island Housing Partnership.

McCarthy Visits Hearing Van

Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy is pictured with (from left) Joe Adasco and Vito Ardito of the League of the Hard of Hearing in front of the League's hearing van, which stopped at Roosevelt Field Mall to provide the public with free hearing health tests. The van is equipped with an audiometric testing room, counseling area, waiting room and state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment operated by a licensed audiologist.
