Mayor Makes Presentation to NCVOA Regarding Additional Track
Floral Park Mayor Phil Guarnieri recently made a presentation to the Nassau County Village Officials Association (NCVOA) regarding the Long Island Rail Road's proposed third track mega-project. The NCVOA, representing 64 villages in Nassau County, has joined Floral Park in opposing the additional track. Superintendent's Day 2005 Focuses on 'A Team Approach'
"A team approach" was this year's theme at the annual Sewanhaka Central High School District opening day ceremony held Sept. 1. In his opening remarks, Dr. John Williams, who just completed his first year as superintendent of schools, captured the attention of the school's 700 plus administrators with a story about fighter jets that work as a team to master success, such that schools should work as a team to strive for excellence.
