"These grants for Heritage Park will continue to make this landmark a place for the entire village to enjoy and benefit from for generations to come," Assemblyman Alfano said. "I'm really happy to have worked with the committee to make these projects a reality. It should also be a true source of pride to the village that civic-minded people came together in Floral Park to reclaim this land and made it a place that everyone can be proud of."
The grants that Alfano secured will be used for a new fountain, landscaping enhancements, new bushes and trees as well as measures to increase security at the gazebo. "When you look around Heritage Park, you see that a lot of planning, care and hard work have made this park so special for Floral Park. I want to thank the Heritage Park Committee for getting me involved to help this crown jewel of the village," the assemblyman concluded.
Nancy McLoughlin noted, "Heritage Park really appreciates Assemblyman Alfano's work in securing these grants. Heritage Park is continuing to make improvements to enhance this beautiful property for Floral Park." Floral Park Mayor Phil Guarnieri added, "Investments into our village, like Assemblyman Alfano's, help make Floral Park a community that people are proud to call their home."
