Bertha Bialobrzeski (nee Tloczkowski), of Glen Cove, died on May 18, 2005. Wife of the late Stephen. Mother of the late Pamela Shotter. Sister of Helen Tloczkowski and Hedwig Landes. Also survived by five nieces and 11 nephews and her dearest friend Christine Williams. Arrangements were made by the McLaughlin Kramer Megiel Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Funeral Mass celebrated at the Church of St. Hedwig, Floral Park. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery. Donations in her name may be made to the Glen Cove Senior Center. James E. Leskody, a long time resident of Bellerose, died on May 18, 2005. Born in Fairhope, PA, on Jan. 30, 1916, he was a retired NYC firefighter with 35 years of service. He was a WWII veteran who served on the European front and was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Husband of the late Elizabeth (Lynch). Father of Barbara Giglio (Mike), Marge Carlsson (Stan), Maureen Wojnar (Steve) and Joanne Hurd. Brother of Stephen, Robert and the late Marge Deery. Grandfather of Ian, Adam, Brian, Jim and the late Brendan and Kyle. The family was cared for by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, New Hyde Park. Funeral Mass at St. Gregory's Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. Donations may be made to the NY Firefighters Burn Center Foundation, 21 Asch Loop, Bronx, NY 10475.
