  • News: Martin Marshak Announces Bid for State Senate

    Martin Marshak, a former assistant district attorney and longtime community and political activist, has accepted the Democratic nomination to become New York State senator from the 7th District. Marshak, a life-long New York State resident who has lived in Great Neck for close to 30 years, is running on a platform which addresses issues including education, health care, government accountability to the taxpayers and the environment.   • News: Keith G. Fairben Old Fashioned Invitational Tourney

    The Floral Park Fire Department is proud to announce the first running of the Keith G. Fairben Old Fashion Invitational Tournament. It will be held Aug. 1 at the Town of North Hempstead Arch on Evergreen Avenue in New Hyde Park. Admission is $5 for anyone over the age of 12. T-shirts, food and beverages will be on sale that day as well. Come watch some of the fastest in the county compete in the old fashion fire events. FULL STORY
