  • News: American Legion 2004 Memorial Day Observance

    The Floral Park American Legion will observe Memorial Day Monday, May 31 with a parade stepping off from the post on Elizabeth Street at 10 a.m. The line of march will proceed east to Plainfield Avenue, north to Jericho Turnpike, west to Tyson Avenue, south to Tulip Avenue, west onto Tulip Avenue through the heart of the business district to Memorial Park, according to Post Commander Ned Johnson.   • News: Super Tuesday Not So Super

    On Super Tuesday, May 18, numerous Nassau County school district budgets failed, including budgets for the Sewanhaka Central High School District and the Floral Park-Bellerose School District. However, the Elmont Union Free School District's 2004-05 budget passed. Stewart Manor School (K-6) is a part of that district.
