The September 11th Victim Compensation Fund, which provides compensation to the families and victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks, will be closed to new applicants as of midnight on Monday, December 22. Floral Park residents, particularly those living on Verbena and Violet Avenues, adamantly oppose erecting a three-tiered parking garage at 15 Verbena Avenue.
