Pedestrian Safety on Tulip Avenue
Ever since a vehicle struck Floral Park resident Sue Eigl and her two children while they were trying to cross Tulip Avenue two years ago, the concerned mother has wondered if village officials would ever incorporate a crosswalk for the safety of her fellow pedestrians.

When Don Dreyer was just five or six years old, someone suggested he be institutionalized because his bones were so brittle that he was fracturing his legs on a regular basis. Back in Brooklyn, he didn't attend school until his sophomore year. Instead, the New York City Board of Education, through its home instruction program, provided a tutor twice a week.
