In honor of Veterans Day, the Floral Park Historical Society has invited three veterans from American Legion Post 334 to speak at its Sunday, Oct. 5 meeting about their military experiences. The veterans in attendance will be Jim Reid, who served in the Army, Bill Reno, who is a Navy veteran and Jim Malone, an Army veteran. The moderator of the discussion will be Peter Fleig, vice president of the Historical Society and First Vice Commander of American Legion Post 334.

The meeting will be held in the parlor of the United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. and is open to the public. The Historical Society especially urges veterans to attend. Please use the Violet Avenue entrance to the church.
