    The board of education of the Sewanhaka Central High School District rescheduled its 2003 annual budget hearing from the originally scheduled date of Tuesday, May 6 to Tuesday, May 27. The new date coincides with the board's regular monthly meeting for May. FULL STORY

  • News: My First School to Dedicate New Sign May 16

    My First School, formerly known as the Floral Park Methodist Cooperative Nursery School, will host a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday, May 16 at 11 a.m. to dedicate a new sign for the school. Floral Park Mayor Ann Corbett, whose three children attended My First School, Legislator Vincent Muscarella and Kevin Gorman, a representative from County Executive Tom Suozzi's office, are all slated to attend. Further, special guest Amy Rosenstein Adler, whose mother was the first and only teacher at the school for 36 years, also plans to attend. FULL STORY
